当地时间12月15日，“汾酒荣获巴拿马万国博览会甲等大奖章110周年暨‘汾享世界’全球发布盛典”在纽约隆重举行。来自政界、商界以及海外华人社群的嘉宾齐聚一堂，共同见证汾酒品牌的全球发布，并探讨中国品牌在美国市场的发展潜力与实践路径。

On December 15 (Eastern Time), “Panama-Pacific International Exposition 110th Anniversary and ‘Fenjoy the World’Fenjiu Global Launch Ceremony” was held in New York. Guests from political, business, and overseas Chinese communities gathered to witness the global launch of the Fenjiu brand and explore the potential and pathways for Chinese brands in the U.S. market.

联合国AI治理特别顾问、波塞冬人工智能创始人Amaj Rahimi-Midani发表致辞，回顾历史并展望未来，强调科技、文化与人本价值的紧密结合。

Amaj Rahimi-Midani, Special Advisor on AI Governance to the United Nations and Founder of Poseidon-AI, delivered a speech reflecting on history and looking to the future, emphasizing the close integration of technology, culture, and humanistic values.

Rahimi-Midani指出，1915年的世博会不仅展示了中国工艺和创新，也体现了文化自信与跨文明交流的精神。110年后的今天，全球华人社区与跨文化合作继续延续这一传统，在商业、文化、科研和公共服务等领域发挥桥梁作用，推动国际理解与合作。

Rahimi-Midani noted that the 1915 World’s Fair not only showcased Chinese craftsmanship and innovation but also embodied the spirit of cultural confidence and cross-civilizational exchange. Today, 110 years later, global Chinese communities and cross-cultural collaborations continue this tradition, serving as bridges in business, culture, scientific research, and public service, thereby promoting international understanding and cooperation.

作为环境科学、海洋保护、水产养殖可持续性及人工智能治理的从业者，Rahimi-Midani分享了个人经历：通过波塞冬人工智能，他与海南的石斑鱼养殖户密切合作，深刻体会到技术创新必须建立在信任、文化尊重和人际连接之上。汾酒在这些交流中成为生活的一部分，不仅促进交流，也体现了文化价值。

As a practitioner in environmental science, ocean conservation, aquaculture sustainability, and AI governance, Rahimi-Midani shared a personal experience: through Poseidon-AI, he worked closely with grouper farmers in Hainan, deeply understanding that technological innovation must be built upon trust, cultural respect, and human connection. In these exchanges, Fenjiu became a part of life, not only facilitating communication but also reflecting cultural values.

他强调：“责任，无论在科学、技术还是全球品牌中，始于对文化和人的尊重。”在AI高速发展、全球不确定性加剧的当下，创新必须以伦理、包容与全球公平为前提，确保科技成果惠及全人类，而非少数群体。

He emphasized, “Responsibility, whether in science, technology, or global brands, begins with respect for culture and people.” Amid rapid AI development and increasing global uncertainty, innovation must be grounded in ethics, inclusion, and global equity to ensure that technological advancements benefit all humanity, not just a privileged few.

Rahimi-Midani指出，跨文化合作已成为时代必需，而非选择。通过全球华人社区、企业及科研机构的共同努力，创新与文化可以协同发展，为未来的可持续、安全与公正社会奠定基础。

Rahimi-Midani pointed out that cross-cultural collaboration has become an imperative of our time, not an option. Through the joint efforts of global Chinese communities, enterprises, and research institutions, innovation and culture can develop synergistically, laying the foundation for a sustainable, secure, and just society in the future.

他最后呼吁：“让我们以行动纪念过去，以责任和共享目标迎接未来110年的辉煌。”

In conclusion, he called for action: “Let us honor the past with action and welcome the next 110 years of brilliance with responsibility and shared purpose.”

尊敬的各位来宾、女士们、先生们：

Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

今晚能够与大家共同纪念巴拿马–太平洋万国博览会110周年，我深感荣幸。那个历史时刻，中国以自信、工艺和文化自豪感首次迈上世界舞台。

It is an honor to join you this evening as we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, a moment when China first stepped onto the world stage with confidence, craftsmanship, and cultural pride.

1915年，世界汇聚旧金山，参加一场盛大的世博会。博览会占地超过600英亩，沿海湾延伸超过两英里半。这次博览会不仅庆祝巴拿马运河的建成——这一壮举本身就令人瞩目——更是一次大胆的重建宣言。在一场毁灭性地震和大火不到十年后，旧金山再次屹立于世。

In 1915, the world gathered in San Francisco for a grand world’s fair. The event covered over 600 acres of waterfront and stretched more than two and a half miles along the bay. The fair was not only about celebrating the completion of the Panama Canal, remarkable as that achievement was. It was also a bold declaration of renewal. Less than a decade after a devastating earthquake and fire, San Francisco stood tall again.

数月间，来自世界各地近1900万名游客徜徉在宽阔大道，参观壮丽的展馆，在光辉的穹顶之城下感受艺术、科技和国际文化。那座“宝石之城”不仅是建筑，更象征着坚韧、创造力和人类合作。对中国而言，那一刻不仅仅是一场展览，更是一次宣言：中华智慧可以以自信与尊严向世界表达自己。

For months, nearly 19 million visitors from around the world wandered wide boulevards, explored impressive pavilions, and encountered art, technology, and international cultures beneath a luminous City of Domes. That Jewel City was more than architecture. It was a symbol of resilience, creativity, and human cooperation. For China, that moment was not simply an exhibition. It was a declaration that Chinese ingenuity could speak to the world with confidence and dignity.

110年后的今天，我们再次聚首，这次是在纽约，共同回顾我们走过的历程，以及海外华人、全球合作伙伴和跨文化社群如何持续塑造我们的共同未来。

Today, 110 years later, we gather again, this time in New York, to reflect on how far we have journeyed together, and how the Chinese diaspora, global partners, and cross cultural communities continue to shape our shared future.

作为在环境科学、海洋保护、水产养殖可持续性、人工智能治理和多边合作等领域工作的从业者，我深刻意识到我们的世界是多么紧密相连。

As someone who works across environmental science, Ocean protection, aquaculture sustainability, artificial intelligence governance, and multilateral cooperation, I am deeply aware of how interconnected our world has become.

我们面临的挑战——气候不稳定、粮食安全、数字鸿沟以及人工智能带来的社会影响——不再是单一国家的问题，而是全人类的挑战。

The challenges we face, climate instability, food insecurity, digital inequality, and the social impacts of artificial intelligence, are no longer national challenges. They are humanity’s challenges.

1915年的遗产至今仍在对我们发声。它问我们：将最好的创意带向世界真正意味着什么？它还问我们：如何确保这些创意服务于整个社会，而不仅仅是少数人？

The legacy of 1915 still speaks to us today. It asks what it truly means to bring our best ideas to the world. And it asks how we ensure that those ideas serve society as a whole, rather than only a few.

在与联合国、国际电信联盟、粮农组织、国际原子能机构及全球科研机构的工作中，我学到一个简单而持久的真理：技术只有在保护人类尊严、尊重文化、建立信任时，才真正有意义。

From my work with the United Nations, the ITU, FAO, IAEA, and global scientific institutions, I have learned a simple but enduring truth. Technology becomes meaningful only when it protects human dignity, respects culture, and builds trust.

这一原则不仅适用于政府和多边机构，也适用于国际品牌。在当今时代，全球品牌的评判标准不仅在于其产品质量，还在于其承担的责任——他们如何尊重社区、管理自然资源、促进社会福祉。

This principle applies not only to governments and multilateral institutions, but also to international brands. In our time, global brands are judged not only by the quality of what they produce, but by the responsibility they carry. By how they respect communities, steward natural resources, and contribute to social well being.

请允许我分享一个个人经历。

Allow me to share a brief personal story.

通过Poseidon-AI项目，我有幸与海南的石斑鱼养殖户密切合作。这些勤劳的家庭对海洋的认知不是来源于算法，而是几代人积累的经验。当我初次到访时，很快意识到信任不能仅靠演示、数据模型或技术获得。

Through Poseidon-AI, I have had the privilege of working closely with grouper farmers in Hainan. These are hardworking families whose knowledge of the Ocean is built not from algorithms, but from generations of lived experience. When I first arrived, I quickly learned that trust could not be earned through presentations, data models, or technology alone.

信任是在餐桌上建立的。

Trust was built at the table.

这意味着与他们吃同样的食物，喝同样的饮品。与他们共坐至深夜，多听少说。这意味着分享餐食、分享烟草、分享故事，以宾客身份出现，而不是专家身份——先理解他们的世界，再让他们接受我的世界。

It meant eating what they eat. Drinking what they drink. Sitting with them late into the evening, listening more than speaking. It meant sharing meals, sharing cigarettes, sharing stories, and showing up not as an expert, but as a guest willing to understand their world before asking them to accept mine.

在那些时刻，汾酒常伴左右。它不是商业的象征，而是生活的一部分。一杯白酒伴随对话、欢笑、分歧，最终建立信任。它提醒我，进步并非始于技术，而始于人与人之间的联系。

In those moments, Fenjiu was often there. Not as a symbol of business, but as part of life. A baijiu that accompanied conversation, laughter, disagreement, and eventually trust. It reminded me that progress does not begin with technology. It begins with human connection.

只有在建立了信任之后，Poseidon-AI技术才能真正发挥作用——支持可持续水产养殖、保护水质、强化粮食安全，并确保创新是为农户服务，而不是取代他们。

Only after that trust was established could Poseidon-AI technologies truly serve their purpose. Supporting sustainable aquaculture. Protecting water quality. Strengthening food security. Ensuring that innovation worked for farmers rather than replacing them.

这一经历为我们所有人提供了更广泛的启示：无论在科学、技术，还是全球品牌中，责任的起点都是对文化和人的尊重。

This experience reflects a broader lesson for all of us. Responsibility, whether in science, technology, or global brands, begins with respect for culture and people.

在这个常被称为“人工智能泡沫”的时代，一个充满巨大潜力又深具不确定性的时代，我们必须确保创新始终以伦理、包容和全球公平为基础。正如中国曾以工艺与产业向世界展示自己，今天我们必须负责任地运用科学和人工智能，建设一个更安全、更可持续、更公正的未来。

In an era often described as the AI bubble, an era of immense promise and deep uncertainty, we must ensure that innovation remains anchored in ethics, inclusion, and global equity. Just as China once used craftsmanship and industry to introduce itself to the world, today we must use science and artificial intelligence responsibly to build a future that is safer, more sustainable, and more just.

1915年的非凡之处不仅在于机器本身，而在于交流的精神。

What made 1915 extraordinary was not machinery alone. It was the spirit of exchange.

今天，全球的华人社群，包括美国的华人社区，延续着这一传统。他们是文明之间的桥梁、文化遗产的守护者、创造力的使者和合作的推动者。

Today, Chinese communities around the world, including here in the United States, continue that tradition. They serve as bridges between civilizations, guardians of heritage, ambassadors of creativity, and champions of cooperation.

你们在商业、文化、科学、学术和公共服务中的贡献，不仅塑造了中国的全球形象，也在信任尤为重要的时代加强了国际理解。

Your contributions in business, culture, science, academia, and public service are not only shaping China’s global presence. They are strengthening international understanding at a time when trust matters more than ever.

通过我在可持续海洋系统、全球数字治理和多边合作领域的工作，我将自己的使命视为一个延续超过百年的连续体系的一部分：确保通过科学、技术和企业建设的未来，始终扎根于人类价值。

Through my work on sustainable Ocean systems, global digital governance, and multilateral cooperation, I see my mission as part of the same continuum that began more than a century ago. To ensure that the future we build through science, technology, and enterprise remains grounded in human values.

无论我们是在弥合海洋研究的知识差距、推动全球人工智能治理的公平、强化粮食系统，还是确保创新赋能最脆弱群体，有一点是明确的：跨文化合作不再是可选的，而是必需的。

Whether we are bridging knowledge gaps in Ocean research, promoting equity in global AI governance, strengthening food systems, or ensuring that innovation empowers the most vulnerable, one truth is clear. Cross cultural collaboration is no longer optional. It is essential.

今晚对汾酒、中国工艺以及海外华人卓越成就的庆祝，不仅是对过去的致敬，更是提醒我们肩负责任，以谦逊、关怀和共同目标迎接下一个百年。

Tonight’s celebration of Fenjiu, Chinese craftsmanship, and diaspora excellence is not merely a tribute to the past. It is a reminder of our responsibility to carry the next century forward with humility, care, and shared purpose.

如果1915年的巴拿马–太平洋万国博览会为我们打开了一扇门，那么我们的这一代责任就是一起走过这扇门。

If the Panama Pacific International Exposition opened a door in 1915, then it is our generation’s task to walk through that door together.

“华人之光”的故事不仅仅是历史，它是一部活生生的叙事，由每一位相信文化、技术与人类必须携手前行的学者、科学家、企业家、艺术家和社区领袖共同书写。

The story of 华⼈之光 (Huárén zhī guāng), is more than history. It is a living narrative, written by every scholar, scientist, entrepreneur, artist, and community leader who believes that culture, technology, and humanity must advance hand in hand.

让我们以行动而非怀旧来纪念过去。

Let us honor the past not with nostalgia, but with action.

And let us ensure that the next 110 years shine even brighter.
