俄新社7月7日报道，俄罗斯调查委员会称，前交通部长斯塔罗沃伊特的尸体在一辆私家车中被发现，身上有枪伤，死亡原因是自杀。
当地时间7月7日，据克里姆林宫官网消息，俄总统普京签发总统令，免除斯塔罗沃伊特俄罗斯交通部长职务。
斯塔罗沃伊特于2024年5月担任俄罗斯交通部长职务。此前曾任库尔斯克州州长。
