加拿大时间10月8日，由凤凰网与智行基金会联合主办的2023凤凰网“美丽童行”智行慈善晚宴在温哥华费尔蒙特海滨酒店成功举办，当地侨界及政商界领袖、公益同仁、文体名人、媒体伙伴等爱心人士齐聚一堂，全场共筹得善款逾270万元人民币，将全部用于智行基金会艾滋孤儿及困境学生的助学助医专项基金。

此次是凤凰网“美丽童行”慈善晚宴第5次走出国门，中华人民共和国驻温哥华总领事杨舒，智行基金会创始人及主席杜聪，凤凰网CFO吕靖等嘉宾出席。

2019年，凤凰网携手智行基金会在温哥华举办过一场慈善晚宴。通过那次非常成功的活动，我们筹集了近一百万加元，深远地影响了近三千个孩子的生活。在我们的支持下，许多受艾滋病影响的孩子不仅完成了学业，甚至进入了名牌大学，看到了更光明的未来。

今晚，我要向多年来忠实的合作伙伴和支持者-智行基金会表达我深深的敬意和感谢。此外，我个人也非常敬佩智行基金会的创始人杜聪先生。他做出了一个大公无私的选择，离开了华尔街的舒适生活，投身到艾滋病村的工作中去。只有亲自鉴证这段非凡旅程的人才能真正理解他所面临的挑战和艰辛。

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! I’m Edward Lu, the Chief Financial Officer of Phoenix New Media.

On behalf of Phoenix, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you gathered at this charity gala tonight. Your presence is a testament to your compassion and dedication, and it is truly an honor to have you with us.

Four years ago, in 2019, Phoenix New Media joined hands with Chi Heng Foundation to organize a charity gala in Vancouver. Through this remarkable event, we successfully raised nearly one million Canadian dollars, profoundly impacting the lives of almost three thousand students. With our support, many children affected by AIDS not only completed their education but also gained admission to prestigious universities, allowing them to glimpse a brighter future.

This evening, I wish to express my deep respect and gratitude to the Chi Heng Foundation, our dedicated partner and supporter for many years. Additionally, I hold great admiration for Mr. Chung Du, the visionary founder of Chi Heng Foundation. He made a selfless choice, leaving behind the comforts of Wall Street to dedicate himself to the AIDS village. Only those who have witnessed his journey firsthand can truly understand the challenges and hardships he faced.

As a leading global media company, Phoenix strives to promote understanding of philanthropy and encourage active engagement in it. We embrace our responsibility to give back to society and our communities. Over the past decade, we have rallied the global Chinese community to extend their care to the well-being, education, and growth of underprivileged children. Our dedicated volunteers actively serve in underdeveloped regions across China, making a difference through diverse philanthropic endeavors, including medical aid, educational support, and counseling.
